Security, surveillance, close quarter manoeuvring
The software development kit opens up the use of Simrad Broadband Radar to a wide range of new customers who can take advantage of its high definition, close range capabilities and low emissions. In particular it is ideal for monitoring movement on or near secure sites and perimeters, and other potential uses include:
Surveillance - Border/perimeter and close range intrusion protection with high speed updating. Can be integrated with cameras and night vision equipment. Ideal for unlit areas and open space around buildings.
Commercial - Aquaculture and fish farm monitoring, Harbour Watch assistance, secondary oil rig vessel docking, airport bird and waterfowl detection systems.
Military - Government and defence agencies, dedicated watch and alarm radars, submarine pods, vehicle/personnel monitoring with custom geographic/mapping overlays.
Marine – Integration of PC navigation programs into ECDIS/Bridge systems, river radar custom applications, on board robotic and unmanned vessels, vessels at anchor.
